LSU Welcomes Semester Intern
The LSU Athletic Training Staff is happy to welcome a new member to our group of student athletic trainers this semester. Herb Reinhard comes to us from Valdosta Sate University. Valdosta State University requires their graduating seniors to perform a semester long internship with a different program. Herb has been an asset to our staff, graduate assistants, and students this semester. He has brought with him the experience of working a variety of sports at Valdosta State and a strong academic background in orthopedic evaluations and rehabilitation skills. Herb is hoping to gain more knowledge while here at LSU where he is getting the opportunity to work with a wide range of our sports teams. When asked about his experience at LSU Herb says, “I have learned many new skills that will help me become a better athletic trainer since coming to LSU. I have also had the opportunity to work with many different sports, some of which I have never been able to work before. I have enjoyed seeing the similarities and differences between VSU and LSU, and will carry my new skill set with me into future endeavors.” He will be taking what he has learned at Valdosta Sate and here at LSU to Troy University next year where he will work as a graduate assistant with the football program for two years. Herb has been a pleasure to work with, a great help, and will be missed when his time here is done.
