Student of the Month

Congratulations to Jared Williams, LSU’s Athletic Training Student of the Month for September! Jared is a standout third year in our program currently working with the LSU Football team. His previous clinical assignments included softball and soccer. Jared is an excellent role model and leader for his classmates and younger students both in the classroom and clinically. He currently serves as the treasurer for the student organization Alpha Tau Sigma and was one of two students to earn an internship role with the LSU football team this past summer. Jared is this year's receipients of both the Doc Broussard Athletic Training Student of the Year Scholarship and the Adam Sturlese Memorial Sports Medicine Award. When asked about Williams, Shelly Mullenix said, "While we believe we have been fortunate to get a great group of athletic training students, it is Jared who has provided exceptional senior level leadership to his athletic training peers. In a setting like football we need a fast response and a great work ethic. We get that with Jared...but it comes in a calm, cool and collected package. He is well deserving of this month's Student of the Month Award." Congratulations Jared!
